If you receive electricity from us… you are also a member of the co-op, and have the right to elect a director from one of seven districts within our service territory.

Central Indiana Power serves more than 10,000 families and businesses in Hancock and parts of Hamilton, Madison, and Rush Counties. Our 33 employees maintain nearly 800 miles of energized power lines, and add almost 500 new homes and businesses every year. That makes us one of the fastest growing electric cooperatives in Indiana.
If there are problems… like those encountered during an ice storm, our operations personnel are among the most highly trained in the nation. They know how important electricity is to your life, and they make every effort to get the power back on as soon as possible… rain or shine. We also use modern technology to monitor our system, helping ensure a dependable supply of electricity.
