Apply / Transfer / Disconnect Service with Central Indiana Power

When applying for new service, transferring existing service, or disconnecting service, you are welcome to do this by coming to our office in Greenfield, you may call us at 317-477-2200 and Press 3, or you may complete one of the following forms listed below and a Customer Service Representative will contact you for additional information.

A new Central Indiana Power customer must complete the following steps when setting up an account:

  • In person, you will be required to provide government photo identification
  • By telephone, you will be required to answer some security questions
  • If you submit your information online we will be in contact with you to obtain additional information
  • A Membership application to be completed and signed

Please note that for any of the above situations we will use your social security number in order to run a credit history check with the Online Utility Exchange through Experian to determine if a deposit is required.
